Hello I have a question regarding on the T4 slip, notice of assessment (NOA) for canadian working experience. I have one year of canadian working experience from June 2015 to June 2016. But right now the 2015 NOA only shows the "2015 June - December" income, so there is no information for "Jan - June 2016".

So my question is that how can I claim and prove the 6 months working experience of 2016. I also only have the "2016 June - December" T4.

Does anyone have this problem? So if my one full year work experience is not within one calendar year, does that mean I am screwed and not be able to claim the experience?

Thanks a lot

I would suggest you to use paystubs as proofs. As long as your reference letter form your employer is legit, you should be fine. T4 and NOA are not needed

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have all the pay stubs for the complete one year Canadian work experience. But in the CIC checklist I also see T4 and NOA as supporting documents. So I think it is appropriate to upload them too. So I just wonder how can I get the 2016 work experience(Jan to June) T4 and NOA right now?

Is it the case that I can only get the T4 and NOA for 2016 in next year 2017?

Get a Reference letter from your employer stating the joining on it. + all other required information as per CIC's format.
This should suffice.

Yes, the reference letter is also in the checklist and I will definitely include that. But for the NOA and T4 of 2016, am I able to get it now? Or I will have to wait until 2017 tax return period to get that?

T4, NOA, and paystubs are supporting, not mandatory documents; they are meant to support the employment history letter. For one of my jobs I just submitted the first and last two/three paystubs and it was ok.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Can I ask you don't upoad T4 and NOA at all? And for this year 2016 NOA, is it possible to get it now, or it has to wait until 2017?

Because for this year's tax return, I am only getting last year 2015 tax return and NOA, not this year 2016.

I didn't upload NOA's at all. I uploaded T4's for jobs for which I didn't have paystubs.

NOA's are generated when you file taxes. If you don't file taxes, you don't get one. There isn't such a thing as a mid-year T4's. So you have to wait until 2017 for work done in 2016.

Of course... you won't get the 2016 T4 until next year. VOs are well aware of this.

So my question is that how can I claim and prove the 6 months working experience of 2016. I also only have the "2016 June - December" T4.

1) your Letter of Employment
2) extra - Recent paystub (don't need ALL for 2016... just the most recent - Usually, they show year-to-date (YTD) info.)

Of course not. You are not the first person applying mid year : )

Hello mate -

Not submitting NOA worked for you? and only submitting Paystubs + T4 (original or Certified Copy) worked ?
