About IMM 0008.....

My Principal Applicant - husband, is a citizen of USA by birth. On question 10 of IMM 0008, can I write "Present" under the "To" part? And of course I'd write date of birth for "From".

Stupid question, I'm paranoid about filling out these damn forms correctly. :-\

What's with question 3 under Language Detail of page 3 of IMM 0008? A test from a designated testing agency to assess proficiency in English/French?

And the Dependant section on page 3, that does NOT refer the sponsor who is the spouse right?

You don't fill that area in. When you use Adobe to type your responses in it should grey out the areas you don't need to fill.

Question 3 under Language detail is just asking if a proficiency test has been taken for English/French, it's not needed.

Using adobe, you should see a 'Remove Dependant' option if you don't have any. It isn't referring to the sponsor.

If you do them online some of them will "validate" to ensure you didn't miss anything. They also generate a barcode you have to put on the top of that particular form.

As someone who has had a TON of problems with their files due to missing signatures and documents, I HIGHLY suggest filling it out on the computer and validating it. It will save you a lot of time and piece of mind in the long run.

I am already experiencing problems unique to filling out the forms by hand. I think you're right. Despite the hours I've already put into it, I'm trashing them and starting fresh on the computer.

There are two forms that you must validate.
There's a "validate" button on the bottom of them. When you fill 'em out, don't forget this little "detail". This will generate bar codes that you must place in top of your application (will result in 3 pages).
If, after validating, you change any info, click again for new codes. Even if you erase some info and replace with exact same info.
