Hi All,

I am new to the forum. I dont know if any one asked this question before but I did try to find out browsing the past forums but couldnt get the exact answer to my question.

I applied to Canada Immigration under AINP H1b visa category in August 2010 and got the file number in October 2010. I am planning to apply for FBI clearance and PCC certificates in the next 2 months.

Following is my question:

my wife was doing her Masters in USA because of which she had some credit card bills. ( 7500$) and she couldnt get a job and had to rely on me. We did pay for quite a time the minimums but from 1 year we stopped paying due to some personal reasons & ofcourse some financial crisis. Now my concern is because her credit report is really bad and we stopped paying will it effect the FBI clearance certificate???

Answers & suggestions on this situation are appreciated!!!!

Thanks

I don't think so. FBI checks criminal records... is failure to pay debt a criminal act?

Oh thats quite a relief...Thanks a lot guys...

When do you suggest I should apply for FBI clearance and PCC??

My application ( AINP-H1b Visa Category) ( NOC CODE 2131) was submitted in August 2010 and recieved File No in October 2010..I know this is too early but I saw few posts in other forums which say there are chances ( when applied for FBI clearance and PCC after recieving nomination) that there will not be enough time to get these two done before the expiration of the AINP nomination.

Thanks for your replies..Its a definite boost during this waiting period....
