yes but the visa office has not any phone number to call them, I was thinking if my husband can make a call to the call center in Canada to know about it, but in the call center sometimes they dont have the information, I sent a e mail to my visa office and I wrote my cell phone number but until moment nothing yet!!

they now at least know that you are aware about the call they made and want them to recall you.

my mom picked up the cell phone, but I am worried because everytime they email me and now they call me maybe was something important that they need now I dont want to go out Lol, but I have to work and I have not received anything in my emal sooo what can i do???

Why not send a FAX to them indicating the call and your sense of urgency to know why they called?

Anybody can tell me how much time do b/g checks take to finish as a maximum period?

Depends on year, pre 2007 and 2006 applicants needed 3-4 years for getting their BG checks done.
2008 and applicants afterwards found their BG checks done in 1-2 year. Now MI-2 and MI-3 applicants are seeing their BG checks done in 4-8 months.

Do you mean that am gana to wait for 3-4 years under b/g checks which leads to 7 or 8 years of waiting for finilizing my app?!
I have searched for the time limit but couldnt find it!
Plz ,if u have any forums or sites that have been discussed this issue!plz , post it here!

Rass,

CIC has gradually reduced backlog to a number which is still big.
They have reduced the new intake of applications. most of the MI-2 applications will be finalized by Early 2012 and they are already dealing with 10,000 MI-3 applications. so they will only work on backlog in 2012 along with 'some' MI-2 and MI-3 applicants. and Kenny has already told they'd issue 14,000 more visas in 2012 than in 2011. so stay hopeful.

Yes, I have requested for caips and got it!
BF'D on 30/8/2012. My officer wants to close my file for one year. It was opened on30/8/2011 this year! So 2012 will not be useful for me :'(
My lawyer is gana to start to file my app to a writ of mandamus next week
Hope to process my app normaly
