Hey folks, I'm thinking to contact the local MP to support us all who are waiting for biometrics collection to be restarted. Well I don't know if an individual request maybe considered but if y'all who are waiting can adequately do the same, then there may be some advantage. Appreciate your thoughts on this.

For your information, your MP has to listen to you whether or not it’s an individual request. Sure, you did not vote for them but they represent your constituency and a decent MP should be able to listen to your reasonable requests and take necessary action.

Hi. I think that's a great idea. What about a collective letter from multiple member from this forum? We could send it to an MP that is member of the immigration committee in parliament. I think we should definitely do something.

perhaps tweeting at the minister/mp can be beneficial as well - from my experience a public request yields to swifter responses.

I contacted the MP and they are willing to send out status update request only. Guess the way is to tweet and ask only. No idea how long.
