Hi everyone,
I need some infrmation guidance. My son who is an Indian citizen is applying for express entry and his consultant has mentioned that he would need to be in possession of an aadhar card as he is an Indian citizen to show proof of identity in the application form. I find thus very surprising.
My son after the age of 10 years has always been in the UAE , and as such is an NRI.
The aadhar card is still not a Indian national identity document and as such the issue is in the Supreme Court. It is just an identity document like a driving license or voters ID!

Can someone please throw light on the veracity of the above requirement, I would be grateful

Thanks

Passport is the only identification document you're required to upload. Aadhar card is not required.

Absolutely!!

Uncle first of all tell your son to stop working with this consultant immediately.
Secondly if Indian Supreme Court doesn’t recognize this doc, how will this be recognized by the govt of another country.

I agree to what @prpurohit said above passport is the valid identification document which is only required if your son is applying.

This consultant he is referring to is in India or in UAE ?

UAE, Mr Bimal!

I won’t say all, but most of the UAE consultants are nothing short of being fraud.
They mess up your application first.

Once they understand you have a hefty bank balance, they will come up with a genius proposal of business immigration, that you can invest $50,000 in a certain province and they will nominate you.

Stay clear from such consultants
