Hi Team

I just received my GCMS (for the third time) and can see that a new A39-41 check created and I can also see the type as A39. Currently it shows the status as NOT STARTED.

Can anyone please tell me what does it mean and how long it takes to clear the same? I just received a request for updated residential history close to the due date of this check.

The last notes from visa officer reads this:
For officers review of other requirements, Received child add on kit

PS: I added my new born child just before this note was created.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

A quick search showed me this link in the forum:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/background-checks-explained-t39578.5370.html

these sections are related to assessing inadmissbility
A39-A41: Inadmissibility – A39, A40, A41, A42, Designated authority - Form an opinion that a permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible on grounds other than sections 34, 35, or 37 of the Act; may prepare an inadmissibility report.

If you want detailed description and if somebody is willing to translate the meaning, here's a link of the manual:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/enf/enf01-eng.pdf

I am not sure why they are checking this in your application.

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I also went through the same docs and what I deciphered is that it means a VO needs to see the source of funding so that the applicant doesn't become a burden on the economy. Can any one of you please confirm if bank balances also form a part of the requirement??

I'm confused (extremely) never heard any CEC applicant showing bank balance before getting the PPR!!

Thanks and Regards

I think showing bank balance will not have any impact..you cannot live on your bank balance rest of your life. The best thing is to show them that you have a job, assuming you are not working at present.

Did you claim any benefits for yourself or your kid?? Did you submit your paystubs with your application. If not, submit the all the paystubs and a letter from your employer ASAP..Good Luck!!

>> NO

Did you submit your paystubs with your application.

>> Yes I did for the one year duration of the CEC

If not, submit the all the paystubs and a letter from your employer ASAP..Good Luck!!

>> I am out of Canada at present and employed with an Indian company don't know if submitting those letters will be of any help as my current earning is in Indian rupees.
Also CIC hasn't requested anything officially yet! The GCMS notes kinda freaked me out.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Leothelion123,

To me it seems that since you have added wife and child long time after application, CIC wants to re-verify a few things.

Financial sufficiency is not a factor for CEC so I would say do not be concerned, if CEC have questions they would come back to you giving you chance to clarify. If your T4 shows salary in range for usual salary for your NOC, I believe you should be not concerned.

Hope this helps!

Hi RKS

Thanks for your response and it seems to be logical.

But I received a request for updated residential history the day of the due date for A39 check and it seems (from other forums) that VO issues the same only when medicals are the only concern before RFV.

I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi Leothelion123,

As per the panel physician, was your medicals OK? If it was then there would be no concern!

Does you eCAS show 'medical received'? If it does then medicals are OK!

Hope this helps.

Hi

My medicals were OK the last time I did (in April 2014) and didn't receive any concerns this time (in Feb 2015). However I don't see (another) medicals received in the eCAS which I assume maybe due to the fact that I did them upfront this time unlike in April 2014.

But the wait seems to be frustrating! :'(

Thanks and Regards

Hi Leothelion123

eCAS would show only one status line on 'Medical received'. As long as status 'Medical received' is not removed, you are OK (the status would be removed if medicals done post Dec 2014 are not OK).

Residential history is also the basis for criminality and security checks, which must have been initiated for your spouse added to application late. I hope you had submitted the needed PCCs for your spouse.

Generally from last medical done on newly added adult applicant, it could take generally 3 - 5 months to reach RFV.

Hope this helps!

Hi

Yes I have provided the PCC s for my spouse and can see that she has cleared her Criminality and (most likely) her security too. My wife had her medicals in 2nd week of December 14 (so it s almost 3 months now) though my 3 month old daughter had her medicals in Jan 15. So either way I am close to the magic timeline, don't know how much A39 check will play the spoil sport :'(

Thanks and Regards

sound A39-A41 check is the focus of current VO . I saw several cases related with it recently, one of them even failed this option .

Hi

Did the (failed) person apply in CEC? Seems FSW long has the requirement of an asset to be shown which I was reading somewhere was around C$10,000 for unmarried applicant and goes up according to number of dependants.

Also do you know why exactly did the applicant fail?

Thanks and Regards
