I had interview in september, my judge was very nice. Since I had no problem in English, we were joking through out the conversations. He said that if you get RQed then you must get hearing. Judge just need to see my passport stamps and if it matched my RQ. he said that he has 60 days to make decision. took about 40days to get my oath letter.
finally! nice to hear someone relieved from the ordeal. 4 years is still so atrocious, enjoy the newly obtained freedom!

"Hey guys,

I just wanted to share my story.

I landed in October 2005 with family members and all my family members withdraw their PR status, I applied for my citizenship myself.

Took me long enough but I will have my oath next week."

Wow so sad to hear that the rest of your family withdrew their PR status and only you were smart enough to continue staying as PR in Canada :)

That is some condescending term here...I will not add anything else but no "smart" person would ever said such as thing without knowing the full details of every single member of that family.

absolutely agree!

@sask28:Canada to you seems to be the best option...but to others it is not. It is people choice to stay or leave...not yours to judge.

Congrats!

Seems Scarborough posts more info online, there's a record for every letter sent to you. I'm with Vancouver office. My latest online update is still that they started processing my case. But since then, I have been RQed and responded, and recently received their notice to prepare for my citizenship exam. Lot more going on under the line in my case...
