A very delayed Medical results...

Dear Experts...

I've been requested to undergo the medical check on the 3rd May 2012 which was done on 10th May 2012 in Cairo, Egypt.

Until the time of writing I didn't receive any notification about the results or even any updates have been taken place to my e-case, however, there are other applicants who underwent their medical check in the same city 2 weeks later, have got their e-case updated. I also knew that the requests to medical re-checks have been issued for the people who had undergone their medical check at same period.

Do you think there's any issue with my Medical??? Why that delay occurred??

Hi Smart-roma, In some cases it is not necessarily e-cas is updated regularly. Please wait till the period they
defined in their medical request letter ends and if you did not hear from them send an inquiry. Ppl usually receive
feedback immediately after medicals if they needed to do further investigation. In your case, it is probably good
news you did not need further investigation therefore they did not contact you. It is your right to know if any
medical condition has been detected in your medical exam. So do not worry. Be calm and plan your future steps
towards Canada. All the best.

They don't notify you of the results, so that is normal.

E-case is notoriously unreliable so don't worry about that (there's people who are still at application received status after they have their visas in their passports!)

If you haven't let the Visa Office know you completed medical, send them a case specific enquiry just to cover your bases and then trust that the system will work ... unfortunately, it is a bit of a black box.

Finally, if people wo did their medical in May 2012 were asked for additional medical tests, it is only to follow up on some result that raised questions - if you are perfectly healthy, no follow on tests will be required

dont rely on ecas much .. i already submitted my passport for visa stamping .. but my ecas doesn't show medical data in there ... so you can decide for urself about accuracy ... but you can always send a case inquiry and find out ...

In my case we completed our medicals on 10 March 2012 and still waiting for ecas to be updated. On inquiry our VO told us that your medical results are pending review by visa officer. While an applicant who completed his medicals on the same day got his visa in early june and now leaving to Canada on 29 Jul 2012.
For every case VO respond differently. We have cross our fingers and praying. So do you.

I did medicals on 21st May and got PPR already but my ecase is not showing anything about medicals, so dont worry about ecase.
In your case background checks must be going on, and you are not too late, many applicants before you are still waiting

It has been more than 5 months until now, however, I didn't receive any notification about the results or even any updates have been taken place to my e-case, however, there are other applicants who underwent their medical check in the same city 2 weeks later, have got their e-case updated and some of them have even received their visas.

I sent the visa office a query e-mail and their reply was “Our records show that the medical exam results have been for you and your family members. As for your file status, no precise timeframe can be given at this present time. Our office will get in contact with you regarding your case in due time.” That was on 20th August 2012.
I also knew that the requests to medical re-checks have been issued for those who did their medical check at same period.

well i c that u must be worried as u r waiting for 5 months now.. but dont get depressed, i think your PPR should arrive in a month now.. perhaps u'll get the good news by the end of Oct!!!
i have noticed that usualy it takes around 6 month after the medicals to get your ppr.. i know some people get lucky and get it early.. but mostly people get it in 6 months time.. so i t hink ur case should see the update in the newxt 30 days!!
please dont get worried and stay positive..
how much did u score in ielts? and how many members do u have in your family?

i forgot to mention that i had another old file in process, which i had sumbitted on Oct, 2006, if that could be a reason for delay... i don;t know if i must withdraw that file or it has no effect on the new application...??
