A string of queries and problems

Salam Everyone. I am new here. My name is Waleed and I have been accepted to Concordia University for Masters in Civil Engineering. My IELTS score is 8.5 and my adviser says that's exactly why i was chosen so quickly. Anyway
1-) I was notified by email about two weeks ago but haven't recieved it by post yet. Any idea how long it will take for me to receive it?

2-) Is it really necessary to submit original LOA for visa and CAQ?

3-) If i apply for visa while CAQ is in processing, will it help in anyway or not?

4-) I have a previous passport as well of when i was a kid. I had traveled to England on it. Now the problem is when i was getting one made now, i did not know i had one previously, so when asked at the passport office, I said this was the first time i have had a passport made. So is it gonna be a problem, or should i send my previous passport along with the new one to the canadian immigration office anyway?

5-) Is there any chance for me to make it for the Spetember session?

heres what i know but do as you best choose:

no physical copy of LOA is required as your UNIV. will directly inform the CHC. a print out copy will be fine.

process the CAQ for quebec province as soon as you get notified.

dont apply at CHC, Islambad. Go to UAE and lodge your TRV/study permit if you want to catch the september semester. chc, isb are really delaying the study permits with some students waiting for 5-6 months.

but i dont know how your medicals will be done in UAE? hope i helped a bit

1)be patient. Regular mail takes time.

2)Back in 2011 when I applied, canada post was on strike and i asked my university's(Queen's) International office weather an e-copy of the LOA would be sufficient or not. According to them, the original LOA is a must and I then had mine sent to me via FedEx.

3)Not sure

4)Do what ever you feel is better, but make sure you're not breaking any rules.

5)Highly unlikely if you apply at CHC isb in the coming days. I'm not aware of the current processing time frames but I suppose they're still around 10/11 weeks minimum.
