A Roller Coaster Ride.. In Process Status after Rejection

Mine has been a really roller coaster ride.. Here's a summary:

Case File Feb 20, 2009
AOR Received March 5 2009
Documents sent 4 July 2009
ECAS Status changed to "Visa Office Eligibility Review Complete" - last week of Aug 2009
Received Rejection letter- 1st week of September 2009- Totally wrong reasons. Absolutely devastating
Sent representations through my Immigration Consultant- October 2009... No response from CHC
Received Visa Fees Back- Oct 2009
Applied again (fresh case) on 30th Nov 2009 also quoting the old file no.- Application received by Nova Scotia on Dec 7, 2009
Now comes the real interesting part:
Have not received AOR yet BUT
When I checked ECAS with old AOR... It has 2 status one says "Application Received" for the new case
And the status for old case has changed from "Visa Office Eligibility Review Complete" to "In Process".. VOILA!!!

I am hoping that what has happened is that CHC after receiving my new file... went back to my old rejected case, looked at my representation and realised that it was rejected wrongly. So now that they have received the visa fees again... they have reactivated my old file and started processing it again... !! Please suggest and comment! Through this forum and explanation at CIC website, I am assuming I should be getting my medical request soon... Old timers.. please comment and help. I have yo-yo'd between absolute despair to fresh hope

Thanks Qorax. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
The only thing is that the "In process" status has been updated on ECAS only this tuesday but when I click on it, the details inside remain the same... You know.. We received your file on Feb 20, 2009 etc etc.

I have seen in the past that the details change later sometimes.

How long does it take when your Ecas Status changes to "In Process" to getting the medical requests?

3 months (In process) i.e. from 16th Nov 09 to 11th Feb 10. I hope and pray your applicantion gets through.

Thanks Rocky. I just can't take the suspense any longer.. It's been exactly 1 year today that my file was received in Nova Scotia... If not for the unfair rejection my case would have been approved by now.. I am praying that I get the medical requests soon...

Is it normal for ECAS status to be updated... but details inside show nothing new?

Inside the 'in process' it will show 'med results recd'.
'Decision made' is our last & final call. Occurs after the visa has been stamped. Though sometimes not updated regularly.

Currently there is nothing inside "In Process"... only we received your application... transferred to visa office etc..

Technically it means they have sent you intimation and want some additional documents to assess your case but London Visa office has been sending rejection mails or letter when status changes to this. I am telling you this only as per my experience from the forum and I maybe wrong and wish I am wrong here.

Well I am prepared for both. Just trying to convince myself what ever happens, happens for good. Just another query, there are chances that I may receive an offer from a canadian employer. If I reapply with the AEO, what are the possibilities and do you think it may have some negative impact to reconsider?

If you apply with an AEO then It will have no negative impact. Your case will be treated a fresh.

Hi Bharath... When I got the ECAS status as Visa Office Eligibility Review Complete... I got a rejection letter soon after.... same for some more people I guess in the forum...

Im not sure if uve applied directly or through an agent. Problem with my case is that, I have applied through an agent and god knows how long these ppl take to update us.

Did your status stick to the same on Ecas even after receiving the rejection letter?
