Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I am planning to apply under AINP-Strategic Recruitment Stream, Post-Graduate Worker Category
I studied Petroleum engineering technologist, and holding PGWP open for 3 yrs

In the checklist of AINP http://albertacanada.com/files/albertacanada/DC...

I want to understand what does Evidence of certification/license/registration in a regulated occupation mean????

Thanks

Talk to AINP office and take advice of immigration lawyer...

Lol you dont need immigration lawyer for all this...Its simple...

Engineering technologist is not a regulated profession i think. Engineer on the other hand is ...and governed by APEGA....
First you need to figure out if engineering techologists belong/register to an organization such as APEGA ( i know its not APEGA) ...if they do ...you need to become a member with them or get No objection letter from them.

You can also contact the AINP office.

You might wanna check this website for info about engineering technologists - http://www.aset.ab.ca/pages/home/default.aspx

and AINP link - http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/working/occupations-regulated-professions.aspx

according to the above engineering tech is a regulated profession.

Hi

I agree this is not an immigration issue, but rather a profession related licensing issue. Many professions (including engineers) will require specific licenses in order to work. So that is what that refers to.

Also be aware that different procinves may have different licensing requirements, so be sure to discuss this from the perspective of whichever province you intend to settle in.

Cheers!!..
