hi i just checked my scotia bank email. apparently my wire transfer was rejected just because a simple "space" in my name. so my problem?? well, here it is. It's currently march 15th my classes begin on 5th may. so the earliest that i can do another wire transfer(assuming me or the bank won't mess up) would be monday the 18th of march then after processing. I'd get the gic certificate let's just say..... 30th of march. if I rush and I mean at God speed and report at bangalore (I'm from kerala ) I can be done by let's say 2nd April. Assuming this all goes butter smooth. So can some one please tell.. just reassure me. WILL I GET MY VISA ON TIME? (by on time i mean with at-least 3 days left or just enough time for me to get there?)

SORRY FOR CURSING
Sorry to be bearer of bad news but looks like you will have to defer your intake. It is taking the IRCC a lot longer than usual to process the study permit. Currently the processing time is 4 weeks . Your GIC process should take a weeks time plus the 4 weeks processing that is a minimum of 5 weeks.

Sorry for your situation.

Please remember, that for May intake, applications have to be submitted before April 1, otherwise you would be be prone to getting a rejection.

Even I think, it's better to defer your intake. Better safe than sorry!

You can use CIBC GIC. Just google isbo cibc for details.

Turn around time for my GIC was 1 day. And its cheaper than scotia bank.
You don't need to send a wire transfer just an RTGS from your account to NOSTRO account of CIBC in Mumbai.

Simple process send RTGS/NEFT and scan and send A2 form. Within 1 working day you will get GIC confirmation letter.
All the best for your visa application!!

There is nothing wrong in looking at things positively but I always believe in Murphy's law that is why my credo in life is "Hope for the best plan for the worst".
It's very easy to say don't worry everything will be OK when you are not the one who will end up holding the shit bag when everyone has pooped in it.
Sorry needed to get that out of my system. Moving to Canada is not just about GIC TRV and permits. Once this phase is over you will need tickets which at the time would be exorbitant you would need to pack you will need foreign currency (can't buy before you have visa and tickets) you will have to get yourself a place to stay in Canada and above all the the stress of saying goodbye to your family friends and your comfort zone. Believe me I have been through the same phase and my advice is plan well no one can predict how long the visa process will take and thus take all these variables into consideration and act.
Good luck.
