I am currently a Manager of a retail store, whom has employed a foreign worker with a LMO for the last 2 years. Service Canada has basically told me I have no hope in hell in renewing the LMO.

So I am willing to sponsor this employee under the BCPNP. My company has agreed to the sponsorship, we do not want to lose this employee.

The job offer is there, what we struggle on is the salary that seems to be in excess of the normal rates for the job the employee does. We are promoting him to supervisor, this would fall under a semi skilled NOC B. The salary, deemed average for this position by Service Canada, is far in excess what a normal salary would be. Whether we paid a Canadian or foreign worker.

How do we get this point across to the BCPNP people??.

Any employer out there able to give their stories???

I've done loads of BC PNP applications and can tell you that unless the salary offered meets the "average" wages for the NOC as posted on the Labour Market Information site, you have NO hope of getting approval from BC PNP. Sorry but that's the hard truth. You will also have to provide a detailed explanation of your recruitment efforts as well and why you could not hire a Canadian citizen or PR, somewhat like applying for an LMO. AND, although this is not written in any guide, the employee should have either post-secondary applicable to the position or at least 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in their work history preferrably in a similar position.

PNPs are not as "easy" as they once were. The BC Program is also starting to initiate interviews of applicants and employers. Best of luck.

ahhhhhhh thank you for the information and to be honest it was what I already knew really.

I guessed that getting a PNP was going to get harder, due to the amount of LMO refusals and PNP applications. The last PNP sponsorship the company did was really easy but that was last year.

So we will do the advertising and pay the wage and just see what happens.

Thanks again.
