Hello,

I have a question (maybe a weird one)

What I would like to know is 'what do people mean with deporting someone'

what will happen to the person, how they gonna deport him (from out Canada)

how is the goverment going to work...

Basically the person has been found to be in Canada without status, has a criminal record, or breaks one of the Immigration. They go to a hearing and the judge can order them deported. If the person is ordered deported, then CBSA removes them from Canada. Either to their home country, or the US if they entered from the US.

so there is an option 'the person' can stay if the judge says 'you can stay' and if that 'person' doesn't have the money for the flight back? what happens then?

If they don't have the money for a flight, they will be sent back anyway. I don't know if the Canada government pays, if the country he came from will pitch in or if they will try to bill the person himself later but they are definitely not allowed to stay for the reason that they can not afford to pay for the flight.

The Gov't pays for deportations.

and I recon the deportation wont be that nice... right? does the person have to worry about jail when he goes back to his country? and will he be joined by the normal travellers?

so many questions, sorry, but it's about a friend of mine who is in trouble... he suffered a break up and has to return back to his country, with nothing else then 2 suitcases of clothes and a wallet with some money. He sold almost everything just to get money together for his flight, and still he doesn't have enough money for the flight. he was thinking about to give him self in for deportion. ::)

If they have to arrest him because he didn't leave when he was supposed to, they will put him in detention until they can ship him away so he doesn't try to disappear. I am not sure if they do that if he gives himself up and requests to be deported. Still, he will have deportation on his record and that can affect his ability to come back to Canada later.

Another option would be to go to the embassy of his country and ask if they will give him or lend him money to get home.
