A question: Visa Medical Exam

Good day!
Applying from South Africa.
I was shocked by new requirement about medical examination. I am applying for a short-term study course which begins on Jan 30, 2017. One of the embassy requirements are visa medical examinations. I am only getting an appointment for visa medical exam in January but I have to apply for my visa ASAP.

I have already had a medical exam done in May (when I asked for an extension of my TRV in Canada). Do I really need to do another medical exam if I've already had one done in less than an year?

You can submit the receipt from the medical you have already done.

Ah that would really help a lot. Medical exam really got me worried.
