Hi,

In my citizenship application I made mistake i.e. I stayed in a hotel upon my arrival for two days and then I rented a room and shifted after two days. But in my Citizenship application I put the room address from the date of arrival. There is no error in total number of days reported but one address is skipped.

Here is the detail:

1 - I arrive on Mar 22 2010 and stayed in hotel from Mar 22 to Mar 23, 2010. -2 days only
2- On Mar 24, 2010 I rented a room and shifted there.
3- In citizenship application I mention my stay in rented Room(Address) from March 22, 2010 instead of March 24, 2010.

Now I have to put my residence info in R Q , what shall I do? I am confused. Shall I keep the same info as I mentioned on citizenship application or shell I change it and give explanation of my unintentional omission? Please advise.

Thanks

I would be honest and mention that 2 days in hotel in RQ. It will be fine as long as you let them see this as a honest mistake. I don't think they would make those 2 days a big deal. Just be honest to them.

I would just use the room address. RQ needs to be consistent with your previous application.

Be honest. Two days is not that big of a deal. You are human. You made a tiny and pretty much inconsequential mistake. Humans make little mistakes.

Regarding Nguyentu's advice, the point of being consistent is to suggest an honest, reliable message. Correcting this miniscule error will not undermine your reliability. But it will allow you to present your rented room documents (dated from Mar. 24) and your hotel info (dated from Mar. 22).

It doesn't make sense to prioritize consistency over honesty, especially for something so inconsequential which would probably be undermined by the evidence.

Follow the directions. Tell the truth. It's going to be okay.

Thanks Guys appreciate your advise. I have both the documents the room rent payment receipt (the agreement was verbal) from March 24 and hotel invoice for two days stay. I'll mention both.
