Hi all,
I'm looking for some feedback on whether this counts as adequate proof of work experience. When I was 14 months at my first job, the employer changed its name from X to Y. I continued to work at Y for three additional months, before leaving. Now I have tried to contact Y, but I haven't heard back. I cannot say that the employer Y has closed its operations (though there is every indication that such is the case) - simply because I do not have any proof.
Here's all I can furnish as proof of work experience -
- initial offer letter from X
- promotion letter from X one year after joining
- offer letter from Y before the name change
- official email resignation and acceptance of same by Y
- last pay stub at X (before X became Y)
- last pay stub at Y
- detailed reference letters from two of my managers at X and Y (they also continued at Y after the name change). Each of these reference letters includes details on job duties, responsibilities, skill and knowledge requirements etc., in addition to mentioning about the name change. None of my recommenders work at Y any more (one has his own company, the other is a university lecturer).
Note - the offer and promotion letters have no detail regarding job duties and responsibilities.
This is all I can submit, along with a note that I have tried to contact Y many times via phone and contact form, unsuccessfully.
I can get additional reference letters (from people who worked at X and Y), if required.
Any feedback will be much appreciated.
Also, more importantly, is there any way that I can get in touch with CIC regarding this issue and ask them beforehand whether this is adequate proof? Any email contact would be ideal.
Many thanks.
Regards,
