Hello everyone,

First of all thanks to all for such a wonderful thread. I am new to this forum.

i have few specific question about sponsoring my wife who is back in India currently. We got married 8 months back.

My question is

1- In residential address section of the form ( application for PR) , which address should be written. My wife is currently staying with her parents in other city. and we did not get a chance to change address in her passport. So she still has her parents' address in passport where she was living before marriage. we do not have any proof of her with my address where we lived post marriage.

So which address should be written ... is it her address where she is right now with her parents and as per passport ?? or she should write our address where we lived post marriage... kindly note that we do not have any proof of new address... at max we can get a bank statement of our joint account with new address on it.

2- second question is about Police clearance certificate. Is it country specific for India? she has got one from where she is living right now...but she does not have one with our address from our city where we lived for few months after marriage ...
is it necessary to get PCC from both cities ?

I will heartliy appreciate your suggestions guys..

Thanks in advance.

1. use the permanent address, the one written in her government id cards

1. area in which she has lived for the past 6 months

A quick question..

Should I write the address given on her Gov ID as permanent address even if she is not living there currently ?

and mailing address as the same where she is living currently but having no address proof...????

Put as the mailing address the address where you want to receive mail from CIC and the embassy. It can even be your address in Canada. You don't need proof of it.

Her residential address should be where she is actually living when the forms are sent in. You can attach an explanation of why that is not the address listed in her passport.

In the section of the application where you provide proof the relationship is genuine, that is where you should show proof you two lived together - whatever you can get, including mail addressed to both of you at the same address. It would be better to have official proof of this address, but if you don't, unofficial or less official proof can be used.

I think bank statement under both of our names as joint account with my address where we lived after marriage should be fine as one of the proof of our genuine relation ship.

Yes, it is good on two counts: official mail at that address, and proof you have a joint account.
