In filling my EE profile a question was asked about my passport

Country/territory of issue for which I selected Canada because I renewed it when I was in Canada on work permit. Is that ok? Or should I select my country of origin

It should be Canada only.

Ok any one else want to comment! As I may get ita tomorrow
- Country off issue should be the one of your citizenship or in other words the county that issued you the passport(e.g. India or Pakistan or China etc. )
- Place of issue should should be city in Canada where you got passport renewed

Country of issue is your home country, ignore the comment that says otherwise.

Passports are issued by countries to its citizens, not by cities of residence. :) It should be country of your citizenship.

An embassy in a foreign country still counts as home country
