hey folks!!!

Today I got call from some visaexperts consultancy at jalandhar and they are saying that in Winnipeg Technical College Manitoba government is contributing 50% of international students fees, He says that Govt. will refund you the 50 % of your college during the study session if you study there.
Is it quite interesting. ;D ;D ;D ;D
Means if you pay 12000$ fees for one year PG diploma course then they refund you 6000$ when you passed the course.

I have checked on there site but didn't get that information. Anyone heard about this strange information.

Tiger and Enfield plz seniors justify it.

This is Winnipeg Technical College's Communications Department - we're sorry to say it appears you've received incorrect information! Allow us to help out: Winnipeg Technical College does not refund tuition upon program completion. However, the Province of Manitoba does have a post-secondary student tuition refund program that will benefit you if you meet the specific eligibility criteria. To find out more, type "government of manitoba tuition rebate" into your browser, and the Tuition Rebate program link should appear at the top.

Hope this has helped! All the best!

Hello Aman,

No matter what, Do not go for this technical college and here are the reasons:

1. It is not a recognized college to be able to get a student work permit while studying at this college. Here is the the proof. Just search for " list of participating institutes for off-campus work permit canada" and you will be directed to a page where you will need to check out the colleges for Manitoba. This Manitoba technical college is not in the list.

2. You won't even get a Post-graduate work permit which is a MUST for your permanent residency. I am assuming that PR is after all the reason you want to come to Canada, isn't it.

3. That rebate is for international student in the form or INCOME TAX REBATE once you start working and it is for each and every recognized college and university in Manitoba. I am starting my studies at Red River college in September so I have researched about it.

Precisely, do not listen to agents as what they are saying is absolutely false. Apply to Red river college. They have really good courses. And yes, in case you go for that WTC, there is a great chance of Visa refusal as well. Te bai Jalandhar de kise agent di gal ta naa sunyo, wadiya rahunge.

Shoot me a message or just stay in touch here if you have any more questions.

Cheers!!

I did check my inbox baiji but i cannot send personal messages as yet..new members are not allowed to. Anyway, you can surely go with vancouver or toronto but the thing is that all of us international students eventually have to come to Manitoba or Saskatchewan to get the residence. As you are coming here for post-graduation or as they say in Canada, graduate studies..It is a good option for you to come to Ontario if you want to stick with a good city with Indian population. Ontario PNP for Masters programs' graduates is better than that of BC (Vancouver). The thing with Saskatchewan and Manitoba is that they have easier and a bit lenient PNPs.

Ik fayda toronto ya vancouver da eh aa ke othe cash te kam mil janda..pehle 6 months tuhadde kol student work permit nai huna es karke eh zaroori aa..baaki cash te kam winnipeg wi mil janda..reh gya Saskatchewan..ithe cash te kam nai milda par agar tusi afford krde aa 6 months bina kam to survive krna then no probs..and another thing..It will be a bit of a pain in the a** to find a place to live in Regina, so DON'T go there..come to saskatoon if you end up in saskatchewan..in manitoba, stick with winnipeg and after that toronto and vancouver.

Another option is to go to Nova scotia..they have a very good PNP and the fastest one too..one year study, 3 months work and then application but you need to have good command on english if you want to get a nice job. Trust me with that. Do NOT undermine the importance of the language skills. Pehli waar dekhya kise te reading ya listening wich ghat bands hun te writting wich zyada..you will have to have 7 bands to be eligible for post-grad PNPs as well as Visa so gotta do the Ielts again..

Thanx for the information bro. now, i am making my mind for toronto or vancouver. I think I must not think of PR for first 2 years and concentrate on studies and work.
thanx for the advice once again.
