Hey guys,

I am stuck in a sort of dilemma and really hoping that you guys can help me out:

The situation:
Me and my wife's PR application has been processed and we have received "Request for Passport" communication from the office. Passport submission date is no later than 13 Feb. Moreover my mother-in-law expired today and we are expected be in India in 1-2 days.

Question:
1. Can we get some sort of extension on the submission date?
2. Can we submit our passports at the Canadian Embassy in India?
3. Any other solution you might think of?

Thank you for your valuable responses. Really counting on you guys for some help.

You should contact the visa office. They generally respond to queries about it and you may be able to move the date further.

I am in a similar dilemma as Gauravjeet.
Case - My husband and I have recieved the Passport Stamping Request and our deadline to submit passport is 15Feb.
He is in India and I am in Canada. He can not make it back before 15Feb to Canada. We sent a mail to CIC if we can apply from Delhi, they said yes and gave a new Deadline of 01 Mar.

Problem -
a) How do I get my Passport Stamped from India, while myself being in Canada.
b) Since I can not send it by courier, can I send it through someone by giving a letter of authorisation.
c) Is it necessary for both applicant to be present in the country of stamping. Hopefully they wont deny saying since I am in Canada, I cant get it stamped from india.

Really want your help guys.

Thanks

So my PR got accepted today. I submitted my passport at the Canadian office and my wife sent it at the Canadian Embassy in New Delhi, India. If you are in a same situation just mail them your problems and they will surely consider. Thanks guys!!
