I'm about to submit my application for a study permit (Sept 2012 intake) under SPP. My educational consultant simply won't stop insisting that I include my work appointment letter with the application. They say I need to do this in order to justify the gap between now and my graduation back in 2010 (Bachelor's in Computer Science). The problem is, at the time of joining (Jun 2010) I agreed to stay with the company for 3 years i.e. till May 2013, which clearly I'm not going to. This 3-year agreement is included in my appointment letter and if the VO somehow takes this in a negative way (like I can't be trusted or I'm a liar or whatever), I'm screwed.

What do I do? The SPP checklist doesn't even ask for an appointment letter! Why should I unnecessarily provide additional information that might compromise my application? On the other hand, if I don't provide any proof and the VO decides to call up my work place to verify, I'm screwed again since nobody at my company knows of my betrayal yet. If my boss finds out, I'll get fired for sure.

Any suggestions?

P.S. My college admission was based on my bachelor's degree and NOT on my job (although my job is 100% related to my studies in Canada).

Thanks for your advice, buddy, but you seem to have contradicted yourself. Don't submit the job offer letter or ask my consultant? Which one? My consultant's the one who is asking me to submit the job offer letter, see?

You need a work experience letter ONLY if you are applying under a 'General (Non University Category) also known as Generic Category, NOT under SPP or General (University category).

Bro i think you should ask your employer to issue you an employment certificate stating that you are an employee at their company and have been since (date of appointment). State your designation and your annual income, and that's it. Try to figure out a way that your employer does not ask you what it's for. Don't mention the contract. Plus I'm sure people do it all the time. I mean fresh graduates who are on training even sometimes leave for masters so yeah. I feel it won't be a problem. Plus I'm sure by now you'd know if your consultant is well informed/experienced or not, and if he is then go with his experience.

I doubt my employer would issue me such a letter without asking me first why I need it. Plus, I'm already late applying for my visa; this'll just delay things further. I'll keep this as my last resort. Appreciate the advice though.

I wonder if anyone out there with work experience has successfully applied for a student visa under SPP without providing an experience letter.
