No, there is nothing you can do. You payed to commit immigration fraud and now that your partner in crime isn't cooperating you want your money back and "justice"? What "justice" do you want for your co-conspirator? You planned to commit a crime in Canada. People like you and your criminal husband are who make it hard for the rest of us who are NOT criminals!

I hope you lose any chance of EVER immigrating to Canada and your husband loses his PR and faces a ban.

I can understand your situation, desperation and frustration.......Justice.......if you go to the authorities.......you will be accused of aiding or planning with intention to commit fraud because you agreed to pay him when you are landed as PR..........its a pity you met the wrong guy...........but under the law both of you had the intention for fraud and are guilty of same.

Please be careful how you deal with this issue if you are residing here in Canada and stay out of trouble........go find a genuine lover to sponsor you........and next time be careful.

Wish You GOOD LUCK

.
No there is nothing to do. Move on with your life and don't try to commit immigration fraud again. Consider it a lesson learned.

Actually the PR or citizen can be charged with a crime. If I were the OP I would be reporting this to CIC and police in the city in which her spouse resides. Her spouse committed fraud by extorting money.

Below from CIC
Marriages of convenience
In some cases, sponsors and foreign applicants set up a "marriage of convenience." This is a marriage or common-law relationship whose sole purpose is to let the sponsored spouse or partner immigrate to Canada.

Our officers are trained to recognize real immigration applications. They know how to detect false marriages. They have many ways to spot marriage fraud, including:

  • document checks
  • visits to people’s homes, and
  • interviews with both sponsors and applicants.
Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are in a marriage of convenience for immigration reasons may be charged with a crime.

Sponsors
Don’t be tempted by offers of money or other rewards to marry a person just so he or she can immigrate to Canada. If you do this, you may face serious criminal charges. You'll also still have to meet the terms of the sponsorship.

Don’t feel you must help somebody by being part of a marriage of convenience, no matter what the reason. It’s not worth the risks.

As someone who sponsored a Viet citizen, I can say that its cases like this that causes Viet applicants to have longer processing times than normal and more scrutinized.

You also need to remember that if you ever do find another Canadian, American, Australian etc boyfriend that you truly love and both of you are in love for real, these countries will see that you've been married and attempted a sponsorship app before, so you will have a hard time immigrating to these countries via sponsorship. And good luck trying to explain to your future husband about your first marriage when you go to So Tu Phap to register the marriage

Sure my post will be deleted, but payback is a b#%ch. You paid money and entered a relationship that wasn’t genuine in order to gain status in Canada through fraud. You got burned and lost all your money and now you want revenge because someone scammed you better than you scammed the government. Karmic debt at its best. Just goes to show that sometimes, every now and again, justice does prevail. I’ll sleep well tonight.

If she felt any real remorse she should do this. Of course she would get dragged into this as she was an accessory to committing fraud also, so it seems unlikely that she would. I just hope she does learn from this and find peace within herself as people like her make life difficult for all of us who are in legitimate relationships and have to go through this hellish process of sponsoring our spouses.

If you really wanted to come to Canada, you could've just tried to find someone and genuinely have a real relationship, then not only would you be in Canada, but also you wouldnt have to pay any money to commit fraud, and most importantly, you would've been in a happy and genuine relationship.

Instead, now you'll forever have this marriage on your record and any future husband will ask about it, and you'll pretty much never be able to immigrate anywhere under a sponsorship
