A-LMO In Progress - Does New Rule has impact?

Hi,

I am in Ontario on temp. foreign work permit and it is going to expire early June'13. My employer has applied for A-LMO in mid of March'13 but we have not received any response as of today.
Starting 29th April'13, Government announced reforms to the Temp. Foreign Worker Program(TFWP) and temporarily suspended A-LMO process with immediate effect.

Can you please review and confirm if our application still under consideration because it was sent in the month of March'13 (well before this new rule) or it will be send back to us to reapply under regular LMO category?

Same confusion here too, for my sister her employer said a no today because of new rules. Mine will expire by july and my employer applied for me but no response till now .

Yes all those LMO in process will have to wait, and if u have applied for wp, it is known as implied status

I'm in the same situation as well. Nil/thatsit, please write back once you hear any update on your LMO's, just to get an idea of current timelines.

What is an implied status?

I applied for work permit, would that affect the officer's decision? Do I need to re apply again with new documents?
