I agree. Just to refresh it for 2020 applications

2021-01 - Present $XXX
2020-01 - 2020-12 $XXX
2019-01 - 2019-12 $XXX
2018-01 - 2018-12 $XXX "
Can you please tell me how are you calculating the income for 2021-01 - Present? I neither have NOA or T4 for the period yet. I can add the number from Salary slips but just want to confirm with others how they are approaching this.

It's not till the end of the year yet. So just add up your pay slips for now.
I applied back in 2018. So things may be different. Just read through all the discussion related to 2021 PGP (there are so many threads... omg) and see for yourself on how others fill this form.

I would be happy to answer you, but I have always turned to a company for several months now instead of calculating all the given things. I never liked to do the financial evaluation, so I decided to find a way out, and fortunately, I came across http://www.mcgeewm.com. So if the calculations create big headaches for you, you could also look for a company to replace you. Because I have already convinced myself many times, if it is not to your liking, you will do this with great torment, and until the end, you will still not be satisfied with the result.

I think that's a logical way to do it. I would do the same if I am applying this year.
This may be very old thread. But just wondering, if i am sponsoring my parents only in 2022, finacial form asks for last 3 years. The last 3 years, my family size is just me and my wife, so shouldnt it be just 2(family size) for 2019, 2020, 2021. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Its wrong. you need to consider you, your wife and people you are sponsoring (e.g. 4 in total if you are sponsoring your mother and father) to show that you can support them and trending to be able to support them in the future.

Awsome.. Thanks YVR.

So even though am sponsoring my parents in Dec 2022, i have to take into account from 2019, 2020, 2021 and make sure in that last 3 years i can support 2 (me and wife) + my parents in that last 3 years (even though they are not here in Canada). Is tht correct?

Yes. IRCC wants to know that you could have and will be able to continue to support the household size (including your parents) in the future 20 years.
So since they do not have a crystal ball to look into the future, they try to use your previous 3 years income to use as requirement. And hoping that you will make at least that amount in the up coming 20 years.

Awsome... thanks YVR. I will put as 4. But my next question is since i work in the same org for last 3 years, can i put 01/01/2019 - 2022 and fill last years income as gross income (or) should i put 4 lines, 1 for 2019 , 2nd for 2020 and 3rd for 2021 and 4th one for 2022 jan - present and put each years gross income.

I understand.. so when immigration officers look the the income table for the last 3 years they look at size 3 or 4
I know he shouldn’t be included in the application and he wont get PR but for income calculations is he included(since he was dependent on parents) in 2019, 2020 and 2021… i hope you get my point because my income is only enough for 3 people

The calculations only need include those who are dependents now. Not going back.

I personally did each year seperatly (since it's in the NOA/T4, it's easier for me). But my applicaiton forms were from years ago. So I don't know if it's possible with current online forms.
