A little confused about an update to my application

Hello I'm a US citizen immigrating to Canada under spousal sponsorship outland.

After what feels like an eternity I finally received some sort of update on my PR application. However I don't... Really understand it.

Previously I was on The "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." Step. I did not require a medical exam, no additional documents and no background checks. The update I received today has changed a status too "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam." Along with a message that says

"Medical Report - Section A Client identification and summary (IMM 1017E) - September 1, 2017 12:50:20 p.m. EDT"

I'm just a little confused, I never submitted imm 1017E, a medical exam was never requested of me. Is this just an error? Or am I just missing it.

You're going to get a medical request soon most likely. Almost all applicants require a medical, except for some in the live in caregiver class.

Thank you, that's super helpful. Do you know how long it normally takes to receive this correspondence by chance? And what steps should I take it I don't receive one? I only ask because previously when my background declaration was requested they never sent me instructions on how to submit it and I had to look up how to submit it via webform.

there should be a letter attached which is that form open it as PDF
you bring this letter in to the panel that are designated to complete your medical for you.

Once you get the form, there's nothing to submit on your end. We personally sent it our appointment form from the doctor so they know we completed it within 30 days, but it's not mandatory. The doctor submits all results on your behalf.

hello i receive the message in my account requesting a medical, Medical Report - Section A Client identification and summary (IMM 1017E), i downloaded and opened with the latest adobe crobat reader, theres 2 pages in the pdf format, the instructions and the biodata, in the biodata has to come with the IME NUMBER in order to make a appoinment with the doctor but in my biodata is not a IME number, i tried to open the pdf in different computers but still have the same problem

What did you do? I received the exact message, my medicals was updated from 'you do no need an exam' to 'we are reviewing the results of your medical exam'. I am confused as to what is required.

It has been updated to medical passed the next business day
