a hypothetical Q on landing

what does landing mean? the first entry point in Canada?
now from my home country I do not have a suitable flight that lands in Alberta directly! either thru' Toronto or Vancouver;
how will the authorities look into this as? AINP candidate

As long as you don't try to "land" in Quebec without onward transportation, you have to "land" at the first Canadian Port of Entry. So it is really not a problem.

Understand "land" as final destination...so it does not matter if your plane goes to toronto, then vancouver, then quebec then finally calgary, or other city in alberta...
they want to know where you will be staying for good, not where you will pass

Just my guess here, if you land in your final destination using domestic flight or by road than you need to go Social Security office(I don't know what exactly it is called) and than do your landing formality i.e. apply for PR card, etc.

BTW if everything works out, I'll probably drive to Alberta via Montana, it is 23 hrs drive from North California
