Just some news excerpts for those who are planning for Quebec immigration. It is not to discourage anyone, but its better to know the reality sooner than later, so that you can plan your future accordingly. Your immigration agent might tell you otherwise just to get your money. Its upto you to decide if you are making a huge mistake or not.

Quebec's Trump?

Both Premier Philippe Couillard and Québec Solidaire MNA Françoise David have recently compared Legault to U.S. president Donald Trump.

The next provincial election is in October 2018. If CAQ party wins, then we will have a Quebec's Trump.

Quebec immigrants more likely to be unemployed.

New arrivals to Quebec experience higher unemployment, have lower incomes and are more overqualified for their jobs than other Quebecers, according to a new report by a Montreal research group.

Discrimination by employers?

The report similarly attributes the employment situation of immigrants in Quebec to discrimination in the labour market, and argues the increasing racialization of immigrants to Canada has intensified discrimination on the part of employers.
