Hello everyone! My husband and I are just getting started on completing the immigration forms and I just had a couple questions. If it helps, I'm American and he's the Canadian.

I see on one of the forms it asks me to list my family members and their addresses. Now, I don't mind listing my dad or my step-mom, but a couple years ago I had a falling out with my mom and my step-dad and I haven't talked to them since. I'm 100% positive that they've moved since then, but I don't exactly want to contact them to find out where. Is there any way I can leave the address area blank or put N/A and explain in the application? I don't want everything to get held up because I don't talk to one half of my parents anymore...

Thank you!

Hey we are in the same position you are.
We don't have any contact with his parents so we are just attaching a bit about why we are unsure to where they live.
Hope this helps a bit :)

I did not know the address of a sister of mine. So I put in all her details and for addresss I just put the country in which she lives. I think that kinda stuff is secondary information that should really have no bearing on your case. As the other poster says you can just explain in a note why there was no full address.

Thanks, both of you! :)

I'm just afraid that since one of them lives in Canada (They haven't started their sponsorship, last time I checked. I have no idea if they have now), it'll look like I'm trying to hide information and raise a red flag. Hopefully, if I explain it well enough, it won't matter.

embassy wants you to indicate their adresses because that way they can background check on you and the rest of your family member.
