Hello Everyone,
For the ones that have already sent out their applications did you have to write the names on the pictures you sent as evidence? Also,i did my medicals in 2010 but never sent out the forms and am not sure whether its necessary to re do them again now that am ready to send my application!.......another question is has anyone sent out an application without their passport information?I lost my passport and travel documents 9 years ago!I have been in Canada for 10 and 1/2 years now!!....am not sure whether they,ll need my passport when they grant me permanent residence which would mean then i'd have to apply for one from my country of origin!!.....i have a work permit which i`ve been renewing for years now and they never ask for my passport,it was first issued at my local immigration office where i informed them about my lost documents!!!!
I hope some one can help me out with my queries!!!!Thanks in advance ;) :)

Hi, You will need to do a new medical exam, as the exams are only valid for 12 months as of the date they are done, whether you submit the application or not. You will also need to get a new passport. We did not have to write names of the photos for our application in Ecuador, but there are different requirements for different countries. Check the CIC website for country specific requirements. If I were you, I would not try to submit the application until you are sure that you have EVERY document listed in the application package. If you are missing even one paper, they will send your application back to you and you will have to start again. Save yourself the time and wait until you have everything ready before you send it in. Im sure you can apply for a passport through your embassy from within canada. Good Luck!

Medicals must be done no more than 12 months before your application is submitted, usually. Follow the instructions on your application guide.

Yes you must have a passport to submit an application.

Thank you bunches guys!~i reckon i'll do my medicals then send out my application and explain about the passport situation?in the meantime, i'll go ahead and apply for a new passport so i have it for when they ask!!

check your guide, but I am sure you would have to submit a photo copy of your passport at the time you submit your application. Your passport shouldn't take to long to process although I am not aware how long it would take at the embassy for sure. In Canada, to process a Canadian passport usually takes 2 - 4 weeks... Personally, I would not submit without getting a new passport

The application does ask whether you have a passport,if not they do ask that you explain!!....however i do have an identification card from my country of origin and it does give you that choice!
If i do apply for a passport it will take a long time(probably the same amount as my inland sponsorship application)I have to send an application to the High Commission then they'll have to send it for processing on my behalf which i reckon adds to the time!!
I hope they'll understand :)
