Ordered GCMS notes for my case by ATIP, a few observations:
File was delivered in Feb, CPC-Sydney opened the file 2 weeks later, first step was to manually type all the information from the application form into GCMS, they spent about half hour to do so and there were three errors, misspelling email address (so I've never received AOR) and 1 wrong country visited and 1 wrong date from the absences (since we have online calculator why they cannot simply import the info but type manually?).
Then 2 days later, the date ECAS changed to IP, CPC-Sydney requested Criminality (RCMP) clearance and Security (CSIS) clearance, Criminality clearance got passed the same day, don't know what's the status of Security clearance as ATIP report hides the information.
The next day the file was transferred but only after 10 days my local office (Calgary) registered the file, since then (March) the file has been sitting in the local office and never been touched for nearly 3 months till now.
So CIC really lives in a stone age, since citizenship application does not need any original documents, it's really easy to switch to online application, fill the online form and upload copies of documents. Many other countries are using this way. There is really waste of time and resources and so inefficient and often errors can happen to post paper files, then manually type information to GCMS and transfer paper files.
Although CPC-Sydney has bad work quality, at least it's transparent and fair. follows the first come first serve principle and publish the progress through call center automatic record (but why not also online?).
The local office is really troublesome, no transparent and very unpredictable. Many applicants from March and April in Calgary office got test invites but my file has never been touched for nearly 3 months.
