A crucial question- need your advice for Alberta provincial nominee program

Hi

I have done MS in Industrial engineering from US University. I have also worked as an Industrial engineer for 2 years on CPT and OPT ( Student visa).

I am on H1B for the last 3 years. (As an IT software analyst).
I am planning on applying for a Alberta provincial nominee program under H1B category


In the list of jobs given under this category --- there is a Engineer Manager or Industrial engineer. ( There is no Software analyst position under Alberta program).

Can I apply for the program under this category as an Industrial engineer even though during my H1B I have worked as software analyst.

I applied to AINP this Oct 1st so dont know how long have to wait. For your question, your current occupation must match with the job code you are applying under as I applied under Field Service Engineer. If you are working in IT you can not apply under any other code since the code you are applying must be you be doing as a job in H-1B category currently( at the time of application) as they will ask for job description in the form of letter from yr employer sent to USCIS for your h-1.

But you might qualify for Fedral Skilled worker program as some IT manager some thing.
