A couple of questions about OWP and Status

Hi guys!

Awesome community here. I am glad a found it, also I joined the FB group and It is awesome to see the people that finally get their PR!

I would like to know a couple of things.

The first one is regards my status in Canada.

I came to Canada the past year with a working holiday visa, that visa expired last 6th of July 2016.
I applied to the inland Spousal Sponsorship on 30th June 2016, unfortunately I didn't include my application for the OWP. Anyway, I gather all the documents for it and I sent them the day after I send the spousal application saying that please, add this OWP to my application.

Knowing that I was close to the expiration of my visa, I post here what should I do, and the user Aquakitty (THANKS!) told me that I should apply for an extension of my working holiday visa. So I did.
I have been reading the forum and looks that it is not possible to extent the permit for the working holiday visa, but at least, I think I am now with an implied status during the resolution of the extension of the visa.

My question regards status is:

When does the implied status applied? I applied online so I guess is when they say this "Confirmation of Online Application Transmission" but I would like to know it for sure.
In case they refuse to extent my working holiday visa, I should get out and come back as a visitor?

My other question regards OWP is:

For the people who didn't include the OWP application with the spousal sponsorship application, how much more time will it take to get the OWP?

Thanks guys!!! :)

correct me if I am wrong.

1. working holiday visa is not extendable.

2. your permit is expired already so not sure if you can apply for OWP now.
To be eligible for an open work permit, you must be a spouse or common-law partner living in Canada who is being sponsored under the Spouse or common-law partner in Canada (SCLPC) class. You must have valid temporary resident status (as a visitor, student or worker) and live at the same address as your sponsor.

so you may need to apply for work permit with LMO from employer.

3.you would be under implies status until you would have DM about your application. (cannot study or work )

hope it helps.
