I am confuse and need some guide from dearest friends...

I have graduated BA honours in Accounting and Finance from Oxford Brookes University Uk in year 2011 and than gained working experience from 2011 till May 2014 in Malaysia. I am Pakistani national. Now i am back in My country and have family here.I wish to get admission in Post graduate diploma in canadian University which can lead me to MBA latter on. Kindly guide me few issues below:
1. The visa officer Might raise an objection on my study gap of years? and can offer me a refusal based on my study gap?
2. Should i choose a University or College? Does the visa ratio of Universities matter?
3. Kindly suggest me good universities for Jan 2015 intake , with good visa ratios. I am having (University of Regina) as one of my option in mind.
4. I do not have GMAT but have IELTS with 6.5 in each.

Thank you
Your kind replies will be highly appreciated.

*You can explain your activities during these gap years in your SOP and it's fine.
*You may require to appear on GMAT to get admission for MBA program in Canadian University.
*University applicants have higher visa ratio as compare to college students but you do not require to get GMAT to get into college. You will need to explain in detail about why you chose that college and your program.
*You will have to find it out yourself about the Universities/colleges offering you program of your choice because you know about your interest better than any other else

Gap in your studies, no there is no gap as per info provided by you. as long as you have work experience letter/s, you are good to go.
2. Should i choose a University or College? Does the visa ratio of Universities matter?
it's a personal choice bases availability/eligibility. However, if you are looking for Masters, then Uni is the option for you
3. Kindly suggest me good universities for Jan 2015 intake , with good visa ratios. I am having (University of Regina) as one of my option in mind.

Forget about Jan 2015 or even May 2015 (if you are considering universities, you should start preparing now for Fall intake). You can't even make it now for a college for Jan 2015 intake, but you can make it for May intake (only in the case of college, uni takes it's own time to process applications)
4. I do not have GMAT but have IELTS with 6.5 in each. (it's not a mandate in all cases, please select a few universities and then check the eligibility criteria).

Thank you
Your kind replies will be highly appreciated.

Just to strongly reiterate what @silen3y3s said:

You need a strong SOP, explaining everything and make a stronger case by showing sufficient funding and strong home tie and i guess you are good to go :D Best of luck !!!!

Properties such as house is considered a pretty good home tie. With your family do add a property that you own or your sponsor own as home tie.

SOP(Statement of purpose/Study Plan) : Now I am familiar with the study plan that is required by the CIC singapore, but I guess it might be similar with the other SOP.

Study Plan required by Singapore office:
Please submit a one page study plan which answers the following questions and includes any other information relevant to the processing of your application:
Why do you wish to study in Canada in the program for which you have been accepted?
What is your overall educational goal?
Why are you not pursuing a similar program in your country of residence/citizenship?
How will this program enhance your employment opportunities in your country of residence/citizenship?
What ties do you have to your country of residence/citizenship?
If it has been more than 2 years since you have left full-time education, please provide your C.V. (résumé)
In the case of a minor applicant, what are your reasons for wishing to study in Canada? What is your parents’/guardians’ immigration status in their current country of residence?

Now other senior contributor can give you more specific idea about SOP required by the CVAC Pakistan.

Pakistani applicants also need to mention same things in their SOP.

1)
a)Original documents: The Police clearance certificate from your country and any country that you have lived in more then 6 months in last 10 yrs; The bank statements required to show funding; Affidavits from your sponsors.

b) photocopies: Any other documents that you are not submitting as original you can submit them as photocopies but it must be legally notarized.

c)Your passport: Photocopies of your passport is acceptable and you do not need to notarize it as you will have it with you during the submission. But you need to submit photocopies of all the pages in your passport even the blank page.

P.S : As I presume you would be submitting via VFS its always better to call your nearest VFS office and ask them what are the original and photocopies that you are required to submit.

2) More evidences never hurts. If it is possible for you do add the payment slips with your experience letter. Just be careful to organize them properly so that the VO do not get confused.

3) "This means that i need to attach a SOP along with applicatiAnyway" :
Please do realize the importance of a SOP/Study Plan. It is very important that you write the best that is possible for you. This one page essay is your window to the VO, as you most probably will not face the interview. Write it from your heart but back it with hard evidences. Do not take it lightly !!!!!

You need to attach original documents including your original passport, educational documents, experience certificate, marriage certificate and police certificate as well. Its not important to attach salary receipts for SPP, experience certificate will work and you can explain in details about whatver work you have been involved into these gap years.

hi, im also from Pakistan. will apply InshaALLAH for next May or September intakes.

btw, isn't BA Applied Accounting and Finance a B.Sc degree from OBU? i will undertake this one if i somehow can't go to Canada after Clearing my ACCA papers. is your BA honours 4 years or 2 year degree?

now to answer ur questions:

1- yes the visa office will raise questions if u can't prove to them the reason of gap. and yes they can refuse based on this reason alone. you see, that's mostly related to the fact that you have a green ID card... Pakistani candidates are gone through very strict scrutiny before they are given visa. so just to be on the safe side, better get a proper experience certificate from your employer. also attach, if u can, payslips.

2- candidates going for colleges have Very low rate of success for getting visa. candidates applying for universities are given preference.

3- For Jan 2015 intake, u are TOO LATE. time is almost over for filing of visa. and as far as i can tell u didn't get any letter from any university or college, right? better apply for May or September intakes depending on colleges or universities.

4- in some of big universities u need to have higher IELTS score. 6.5 is ok. GMAT is required for admission in MBA programs. for other Masters programs, u don't need GMAT, unless required by university.
