A call for Interview in CHC in London!

We have applied for Skilled Worker / Professional Immigration from UAE and we received recently a request for an interview in London / UK. Is there anybody has received the same request to travel abroad for an interview, any information can be shared here please?

It's very strange that theh have called you for interview in London and not in UAE because interview is usually held in your country of residence.

You can request CHC to conduct your interview in UAE. Perhaps the IO might have overlooked and it should be an error. You should mention your inabilities to travel to UK.

My file is "in process" since July 2009 (Applied Jan 2009 to Sydney) in London. On case enquiry, I am told that an interview is required but date can not be given for Kuwait or Abu Dhabi as interviews only take place when there are suffient persons for interview. Please given your experience from middle east. This is very frustrating. They say it can take several months and at present there is no plan in the near future. How often in a year they hold interviews in the middle east-Abu Dhabi/Kuwait.

that must be a mistake. please confirm with them. i am wondering - how will you depart/enter other country ? do u have an appropriate visa?

No it is not a mistake. They have also asked me to go to London for interview if case is to be expedited.

Better if asked to visit London CHC for interview than being called for interview in UAE. There is no definite date for UAE interview, while London interviews have. Application process is faster for a middle east applicant to be interviewed in London than in UAE.

The interview invitation letter from London CHC is a very good passport for UK visit visa application..
