MINISTERIAL INSTRUCTIONS RESPECTING INVITATIONS TO APPLY FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE UNDER THE EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM (APRIL 17, 2015)

Determination — number of invitations

1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on April 17, 2015 and ending on April 18, 2015 is 715.

Required rank

(2) Foreign nationals who, on April 18, 2015 at 00:00:00 UTC, have been assigned a total of 453 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014 and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

am i right that the pool is starting to run out of people with high scores so they are drawing less and less people?

Or maybe they took on too much work too soon so decided to haul it back so they can play catch up with processing.

Does it take too long to receive ITAs. Coz I have more than 453, and qualified under FSW and CEC, but haven't received any updates yet.

I havent received yet either. I think it takes up to 24h Congrats btw!

It's hard to believe 715 ppl created profiles in last 1 week....or it has to be that lot of ppl declined their ITAs from previous rounds too...

I think if they had drawn 1500 ppl or more...then I am sure the scores would have fallen down to 430-440. CIC is artificially keeping the scores that high as they want to maintain some quality i bet...

Remember the pool is dynamic...people all over the world are creating profiles and everybody situation changes over time.
They will not give ITAS to persons from ONE COUNTRY ONLY...it will be wide and varied based on other demographic markers...
So I believe even if u have the score of 453....and there are 1000 people from a given single country who have entered the pool with that same score....they may not get a ITA....
