8 x Photos for the Application

Do I need to get my 8x photos for my application form authorised on the back by a public official? I can't seem to find any info on CIC about this...

If the region specific checklist doesn't say it, then you don't require it. Depending on the region, at least 1 will require the photographer to stamp and date.

I did not need to get this as a british citizen i don't believe it is required (You need to check the country specific information).

The guide on CIC says two photos with the correct dimensions, make sure the back of one photo has a date stamp and the name and address of the photo store that took the picture. I included four just to be safe.

The guide for UK citizens just says 8 photos. There is no need to do anything special to them.

The guide for US citizens says you need 4 photos, not 2.
