Hi all,

Thanks in advance for all the help available through this forum.

Sorry if this is a silly question but after so much work I want to ensure we get it right.

On the documents checklist for our outland spousal sponsorship application it requires "8 photographs of each family member and the main applicant".
Family member meaning immediate family or extended family? Seems obvious but just checking that it wouldnt involve parents, sibblings or people listed in the Additional Family member info.

I am Canadian and so is our newborn daughter and obviously I am the sponsor and she is not included in the application as she is Canadian, however she isa dependent of his as well as mine: are her photos required?

Many thanks!

Hi there,

I had a similar situation, my children are Canadian.

I included photos of them too - just to be on the safe side!

Worse case scenario, even if we didn't need to include them, they get to see a couple of photos of cute kids :)

Family members means the spouse, or common-law partner, or conjugal partner, and any dependent children. 'If applicable' means that family members who are already Canadian citizens don't need to send in the photos (or get a medical exam, etc.)

So you need to send photos of only the applicant. Not the sponsor, and not Canadian children. Certainly not of any extended family.
