Hi there, I was wondering if you finally got your PR card and how long it ended up taking? I also need to travel home (to Aus) but hands are tied without that card. If only we could drive there ;)

COPR received in the mail today. So, any Ottawa applicants that are left from the March batch (I think I was the last), FYI, it was almost a 12 week wait between 'decision made' and receiving the COPR documents.

I think the Ottawa visa office has been on vacation since Canada Day! haha. It's been decision made since then, but nothing! Back to work people!

No, I got the DM first, then the request for a copy of my passport and photos, referred to as the 'final request' email. I guess I'm the exception!

Or, I'm visa exempt, however I still had a request to submit photocopy of passport, additional photos and supply a self-addressed express envelope. Presumably after that, the COPR arrives.

I think decision made is a good thing :)

I can't speak for other circumstances, but in my case, I noticed the DM on ecas and then a few days later received an email for a copy of my passport and photos. I had already paid the RPRF. Hope that helps.

Did the letter say where the application was sent? Which office? The Sponsor will be approved before the applicant (your spouse). There may or may not be a long time between your approval and the PR approval. Depends on lots of factors.

It's been 7 weeks since I received decision made and request for passport copy etc. Still nothing.........

I have entered the country while I've still been waiting for my PR. As everyone has said, be truthful and upfront. We didn't have to use it, but we had a copy of all the applications forms and proof of financial support etc. Best to be organised that not.

I had a DM listed online a long, long time ago (well, over 6 weeks), in that time I was asked to send in the prepaid express envelope etc and then again asked for proof of marriage (as we informed them of my change in status). But, nothing else. Anyone else experiencing a very (very) long DM to...

We didn't pay this up front. We got the request to pay, along with a few other requests to supply additional documents all at the same time. So it would not have changed the speed of approval etc anyway if we had paid at the time of submitting the application.

Yes, as I'm from a visa exempt country too, but got an email requesting me to send a photocopy of my passport and two (more) photos of myself before they send me my COPR. They must have a whole collage of photos of me by now :)
