8 months passed and no reply for security check

I am also stuck in background check nearly 8months. Applied on April 2016. Still no update

I think it depends on what your country of origin is and what other countries you have been to also. My criminality check was started on Feb 22, 2017 in Mississauga- CPC and that is when our background check was changed to "in progress" status in GCKey account. They have not updated anything since that date as of August 28, 2017 (6 months) when we received our last set of GCMS notes. We hope to receive our next set of notes next week, which would bring us to into the 9th month of our background check being in progress. My partner has no criminal record anywhere on Earth except for one speeding ticket he obtained which unfortunately caused him to have his driver's licence suspended for a few weeks. I really hope something got updated, or at least our eligibility review shows some progress. We have been unlucky at every stage of processing with slow officers being assigned to our case as they have literally done no updates on most parts of our file except once in July and once in August. We are Jan 25, 2017 applicants going through the Mexico City VO.

Applied on April 2016. The eligibility passed following the interview on Dec, 2016. Since then i am stuck in background check, in the meantime my medical expired. For now i am waiting the VO (new delhi) to complete the checking hopefuly Soon and next steps in this application will be determined therefater (remedical) maybe or direct will get passport request letter.

But i really dont know how longer the background check will take. I am Afghan live in Pakistan.

Hi, did u get u r visa im also afghan nd live with my parents in Pakistan but we also stuck in security checks for 9 months.
