481..??.. WOAH...

How did he manage that... ??

I SEE.
But still

22000 +6800ish ppl got ITAs- some reject ITAs+new incomers(+300-500/month)-28000, I believe almost everyone will be invited.

At least 1500 are being added every month, judging by the current trends...

Is IELTS exam easy or CELPIP , which one will allow to score at level CLB 8/CLB 9 with less effort:-) already my score is CLB7 with CELPIP?

Ha hah ha..like the post

Why is it the case that some people have score greater than the draw threshhold but they didnt get ITA?

I think none of you are taking into account the Federal election this year.

They will keep the score highish so that only people the voting population agree with coming to canada get let in. If it gets out that they invited a whole bunch of people with no jobs lined up, plus low english scores and average work history (lets say around the >400 mark) the news will have a field day with it and the conservatives could kiss their chance of re election goodbye. Canada is like my home country New Zealand, quite xenophobic. All they see are the bad immigrants who are "taking our jobs" and "living 12 to a house climing benefits" and then will relate that to the government. I have seen thosands of these comments on CIC's facebook page.

To be honest I'm on 410 points (degree, IELTS of 9, 5 years work experience, married though wife hasnt done IELTS) and I dont see my name being drawn out of the hat until at least June if not July.

You also need to consider the backlog for WES and IELTS tests (theres a 4 week wait roughly here in Vancouver) as they clear people will create their profiles.

Granted though to hear there was only 22000 people in the EE pool was surprising. I'm getting "deported" in June when my IEC runs out so I'm actually hoping my American green card lottery comes through. I'll go home enjoy a New Zealand summer and then probably settle somewhere in Washington

I believe there will be another or even multiple more CEC-specific draws. I'm certain the cutoff for those draws is gonna be lower than the norm. I'm guessing you are applying under CEC because of your IEC status.

Nope not eligible for CEC as the New Zealand IEC was only 12 months before this year (it went up to 24 months this year) so not eligible for CEC due to only working since August last year
