I am sorry I dont know any electronic guy who applied for 7242.
Technically you should qualify though.
Lot of things depend on how job duties are mentioned in your letter.
Common items between 7242 & 2243 shall be.
1. Cable Laying & termination, etc..
2. Continuity Testing etc.
3. Control System maintainance and trouble shooting.
4. Last point is 'May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices' so you should be safe.
Things specific to 7242
Maintain, repair, install and test
1. Switchgear,
2. Transformers,
3. Switchboard meters,
4. Regulators and reactors
5. Motors
6. Generators
7. Batteries
I don't have much idea about your specific line of work, but in our company lot of inst guys work in some of the above mentioned work.
For eg. Some system like Public announcement, Fire detection etc has UPS, hence you can include battery etc.
Weigh feeders(generally included in inst) etc have motors which fall under Inst..
Except lightings & switchgear most of other things can be included in an instrumentation work profile.
If you have sent the document than all you can do is wait and watch as including additional work at this stage will raise a flag for your case.
If you are planning to apply than try to include as much as work from electrical that you can include in your profile..

Yeah nano,
Noc for instrument is 2234, but if u go through the main duties u will find it's more about sensors, plc, control systems but in 7242 u will find few lines about electronic components but the majority was about feeder, motors switchgear transformers which are not written in my job duties which is purely talking about electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic sensors maintenance and calibration also PLC, what u think can I still qualify for 7242 as instrumentation, do u know personally any electronics tech or eng applied for 7242
