Hello all,

It has been over 7 months since my AOR (standard time is 6months) and my PR is still "in process". AOR was June 23 2018, inland.

After speaking to agents online and over the phone, I have just been told "the government takes its time" and "everything appears to be in order".

My current status is medical passed, and i have also confirmed that all the additional documents have arrived to Ottawa on-time (certificate of no criminal conviction, etc). no one can give me answers, and im just wondering why its taking so long. I figure if they were gonna reject me they would have done it way sooner.

However, I do have 3 passports. does this mean they have to do 3x the background checks?

Thank you in advance for any insights.

I have nothing to add, but just checking-in for support.

Some truisms are "every application is different, because every applicant is different" and "there is no fixed time for processing an application." The time it takes is the time it takes.

For example, think about the difference in the amount of background to review between someone under 25 years vs. over 45 years, single vs married 3 times. Some people stay in one place, others move a lot. Yes, of course the fact that you have 3 passports signals the need to do more background/security checks than the average person holding only one passport. Then think about what countries are involved - CSIS will get fast and reliable cooperation from the FBI, but perhaps not from Chinese authorities (right now) or from countries that have poor systems in place. There are so many variables ...

... the only way to get some indication of the status of your application is to order the GCMS notes.

GCMS ordered.. thank you for the insights. I hold a british and hong kong passport.. hope its not affecte too much by huawei and brexit haha.

PNP ontario applicant NOC 4163
AOR -11th june 2018
Moved to Ip2- July 2018
Vo office - Sydney Nova Scotia
GCMS shows review required for roles n responsibilties
File moved to NDVO on 22nd March 2019
One thing I dont understand is When Ontario has already issued PNP under NOC 4163 why CIC says review required under the same NOC ?
No ADR requests nothing..Medicals to expire in a month..Plz suggest..
