Ministerial Instructions respecting invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system #6 – March 27, 2015

The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, pursuant to section 10.3 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, gives the annexed Ministerial Instructions Respecting Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence under the Express Entry System (March 27, 2015).

Ministerial Instructions Respecting Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence Under the Express Entry System (March 27, 2015)
Determination — number of invitations

1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on March 27, 2015 and ending on March 28, 2015 is 1,637.

(2) Foreign nationals who, on March 27, 2015 at 23:59:47 UTC, have been assigned a total of 453 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014 and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

113 points waiting to go down before i got an ita....hope that will be in God's time...doing some more research if me and my family will truly survive in Canada due to some negative feedbacks in economy...:( i am an engineer by profession hope construction industry is not affected by the crisis...still waiting for signs...:)

Construction industry has been affected by the downturn in economy in Alberta, but not on a similar scale as O&G industry. That should not be any hindering factor in your application though because get a PR and then you can determine if you want to immigrate or stay. Second, economy can always bounce back.

my CRS score is 448. Just 5 point less than minimum of 6th draw i.e. 453.
Hope to get ITA in next draw.
 
Got invite to apply under FSW.. I am confused with one thing.. Do we need to scan and attach all the documents (as per the checklist) in the CIC site.. OR do we need to collect and courier them ? Please guide..

For EE you need to collect all required documents and scan them then upload all of them to CIC's website

1. I am currently working in Canada in work permit.. Do I need to show proof of funds ? Please suggest..
2. Do i need to attach scan copy of WES - evaluation documents ? but do not see any option provided in the website..

I can tell from being in a small, oil-oriented town in South Saskatchewan, O&G operation around here has been very slow, many of the rigs has stopped production. Even oil-related businesses (not directly drilling and refining companies) has been severely affected. You can even tell fast food restaurants (where many workers around hangs out) are less busy than, say, last summer. Many people I know of left here and gone somewhere else for another job.
