6months in 6months out?! Help!

I have a stamp on my passport with the first time I visited Canada and a hand written date of Aug 9th 2013. I'm guessing this is when I have to leave the country?!

If I leave the country when I am due to, can I return as just a visitor( I will always have a return ticket ,as I need to go back for work)? Do I need to be out of Canada for a certain amount of time before I can return?

I would extend my stay online because I have previously left after staying a couple months in Canada and returned 3 weeks later which gave me plenty of trouble of almost being denied entry. I'd definitely extend it online!

Line is absolutely right, an extension would be the best way to go as you can never be too sure of anything either with the VO or CBSA.
