Hi everyone!
Me and my fiance are getting married in 4 weeks.I am trying to gather evidences of our relationship since we want to start the process of getting a PR visa as soon as we can. We've started talking 6 months ago and decided to get married after a month. I am wondering if printing all of our conversations would help prove that our relationship is genuine. We have a total of 350+ e-mails, 2400+ chat logs and 200 skype calls. How much is enough?

I'll be honest with you, a very short courtship will be a red flag for CIC. That's not to say that you won't be successful, just keep in mind that the visa officer may question your relationship, so make sure to prepare a lot of evidence, or as much as you have...6-months isn't a long time, so you will need every single piece to prove your relationship is real and continuing!

thanks for the response. I am just afraid that if i include everything, they might not see the important e-mails, esp the ones when we were planning our wedding and his visit.

I agree. Six months is very short.

Make sure you take lots of photos at the wedding - especially with family (I'm assuming both of your families are attending). Label all of the photos from the wedding indicating which family members and friends are in the photo with you.

Include the important ones at the front and highlight the bits you want to make sure they read.

this might sound odd but none of our families are attending.his family is in Canada and won't be travelling with him. I have issues with my family so i'm not inviting any of them. We will be inviting some friends though. :( does this lower our chances?

Let's see:

1) Proposal after 1 month of conversation.
2) Hasty marriage.
3) No family on either side present at wedding.
4) Married first time meeting in person.
5) No plans for future except immigration to Canada.

"Interview needed to assess bona fides of relationship".

I'm with Charlie. Your profile doesn't look good at all.

I missed the "married first time meeting in person bit". That's a huge red flag. (You have a lot of red flags unfortunately.)

Any chance you would consider changing your plans and just visiting the first time (and getting married on a second visit)?

I am in a similar situation. We only knew each other for 5 months before marriage. So I tried gathering all I could. Pictures from marriage, honeymoon, pictures from before marriage. I have a big argument for the relationship though, my wife is now pregnant. So the immigration officer, if in doubt, can not really say anything. You do not want to have a kid if the marriage is fake ;)

I would suggest, you marry, and then travel to see your spouse a few times if possible to show that you are visiting, tickets attached. I visited my wife four times in 3 months, with all tickets attached. Immigration Canada will see that you want to be with your second half!

All their comments are right. And make sure to include all the tickets, boarding passes if both of you traveled together , receipts from hotels, cinema, restaurants, telephone bills if ever

All their comments are right, and I read that you can only sponsor your future spouse or fiance if your relationship is more than 12months then get married and sponsor her/him .

I do not really agree about the 12 months. It is easier to prove when the relationship is longer, but you can still prove that it is a true one even after 5-6 months. Just bring as much proof as you can. Ask some friends to write letters saying that they see that the relationship is true. I asked my parents to write such a letter and added it to the application.

Sorry to say this but 12 months is longer than 5-6months like your case and still your case would be a red flag were just here to give you our opinion but it depends on both of you and your sponsor.

Sorry about the 12 mothns it's for the Common-law partner sorry...
