Hi, I need your help to better understand if I am qualified for applying for PR.

1.I read that the minimum required points for Express Entry under federal skilled Worker program is 67.Can you please explain how these points are calculated ?

2.What is the purpose or difference between the below two tools
(replace xxx with www)

xxx.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp
xxx.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Thank you.

When I've applied for my EE profile, I've received the profile as I was eligible only for CEC. But If I ran the FSW calculation I have :

Test Points 22
Education 23
Exp 15
Age 10
only this make 70...

and I'm working with a WO permit for intracompany transfer, that I believe could give me another 10 points? do you know what I could have made wrong?

I used that FSW points calculator to test my eligibility, and it informed my decision to look at EE. I've got maximum scores each for first language (28), education (25) and work experience (15). I only get 1 point for my age (sadly), and as yet I've no work lined-up. So that's 69 points. Last year I was on 70, but a (lovely) birthday stole one point from me.

However (and sorry to keep banging on about this) I'm apparently ineligible for FSW.

Hoe come you are getting 28 for First Language. You can maximum get 24. Did you do French as well?

Ah. No. That'll be it then.

I feel rather silly now, but thank you.

How come you are ineligible for FSW ? You have more than the required points of 67 and above ! Am I missing something ?

Apart from having more than 67 points, you also need to meet the minimum criteria detailed here:
xxx.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Most importantly, you will likely require proof of funds to become eligible for FSW.

I suspect you did not indicate enough money to bring to Canada when filling in the questionnaire.

Proof of funds requirements are here:
xxx.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
Thank you for the explanation. It makes sense now :)

English > 23 points (score : W - 8, R- 11, L - 10, S - 12)
Education > 23 points (Masters - ECA done)
Experience > 9 points (1 year)
Age > 12 points (30 years)

Total score - 67

Still EE profile shows ineligible.

Your suggestions are most welcome. :)
