Hi everyone,

I've used this site before to gain some awesome information,

Me and my wife have her parents over on the grandparents super visa and they have been here for just under 1 year. However now her father wants to work or he is going back to England. So my question is this even possible for him at his age and current visa to do so?

He is 60 years old, his experience is driving trucks (skilled trade?)

In order to work, he would first have to find an employer willing to offer him a full time job. That employer would then have to obtain an approved LMIA (process takes several months and costs the employer $1K + advertising fees). As part of this step, the employer would need to advertise the job to prove that no Canadian could be found for the role. If the LMIA is approved, he can then apply for a work permit tied to that specific employer.

Thank you for the fast reply!

We kind of thought that would be the case, just wanted to confirm via someone else.

Thanks again!
