Hello Friends,

I am an IT professional from India , I have applied for PG course in Canada.

Is it true that in Canda one has to pay 60 % tax on salary.

There are many people in my office who are saying not to opt. for Canada because of tax.

Although I think 60% tax what they are saying is too much high,it shouldn't be that much.
Am I correct ?

How much salary does an IT professional earn in Canada with 4 years on exp. on Mirosoft Technologies.
Any Idea ?

Thanks !

oh yes
Canada is all about tax tax and tax.... there is no other source of income for government then taxes 8)

50 is the highest and thats in quebec. Rest are 30-33%

30-33% is OK , since US too has that much Tax-cutting from salary.

But , as what I heard from some of collegues 60% , which I thought was quiet high.
There won't be much saving then , anyways.

30-33 % is ok basis the Salary, and I believe that is not the flat rate for all, Also if you look at the Facilitied like Medical and schooling for Kids which is free, so that is not an bad option

true..

1. The income tax rates for Canada are here: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/fq/txrts-eng.html The maximum you could hit would be 50% in Nova Scotia on your income of over $150K after deductions.

Canada is a large country. Tax depends on your income, higher the income higher the taxes. The tax rate differs from province to province.

Canada is a developed country, therefore all information such as taxes, medical insurance, etc is available on the web.

Yahoo/Google is your best friend in the world to find such info. And the information on the official government websites will be much more accurate then the info you will get from misinformed and/or jealous people who knows absolutely nothing.
